My worthy opponent is using green as his colour, however, as it is very close to the same hue as the grass, might I suggest a stronger contrast? Thanks.• Apakah browser anda?

I was aware of this issue during development and already added a black border around all meeples.
The meeple's color is not something I am allowed to change (publisher constraint).
There are a few ways we could increase visibility:
1. Increase border thickness (1px at the moment)
2. Change the border's color, which may look ugly
3. By default let green be the fifth meeple color
Here's an example of 2px wide borders colored in white: imgur.com/a/KVuNJve

Green is now the 5th color for meeples by default. That should help, but is not a long term solution.

2px white borders in your exemple above are fine. The current black border helps a little for green meeples on fields, but makes things worse for green meeples on forest.
Playability is more important than beauty. And to be honest, I feel that this game does not look great anyway. I don't mean that as a criticize at all (neither to you nor the publisher), I just think that this game's design does not translate well to a 2D view on as screen. My point is that it won't hurt much to make it look a little weird if its easier to read.

For what it's worth green is set as my "favourite" colour, so I get assigned green even in a two-player game.
Agree that they're hard to spot on forests, both I and my opponent missed a couple of my forest meeples when playing yesterday.

Hello! I'm green by default on this game, as this is my favorite colour on BGA :) And I struggle too.
Proposition: .meepleBoard { background-color: white } , and maybe a bit of border-radius.
