In Google Chrome v128, logic for the CSS "zoom" property was updated to reflect a new standard: developer.chrome.com/release-notes/128#standardized_css_zoom_property
Currently, Board Game Arena uses the "zoom" property on narrow displays (typically on mobile devices, but I can also replicate all of this behavior using Chrome on a desktop. I just have to reduce the window dimensions to around that of my cell phone) to achieve responsive scaling. I have noticed that many games now look significantly worse on mobile as a result of the new zoom implementation.
I've captured some screenshots for a few games that were impacted by this change, but I suspect the issue is more widespread: imgur.com/a/dXWepBg
Chrome developers have offered an "origin trial" that allows websites to temporarily revert back to the "legacy" zoom implementation: developer.chrome.com/origintrials/#/view_trial/3499859860420296705
Opting in to this trial would not be a permanent solution, but it would minimize the interruption to players on mobile devices while BGA team / individual game maintainers figure out a more permanent solution• Apakah browser anda?

I understand that Board Game Arena has an extremely wide selection of games, and that each game is maintained by hobbyist volunteer developers. For this reason, I suspect it will not be feasible to ask the maintainers of each game to update the CSS for their work, especially because many of them have likely moved on to other projects. Hopefully the BGA team can find an alternative to the zoom property (at a glance, it seems like "scale" might work well when applied to the #game-content div, although it may still take some fussing around to get it right www.w3schools.com/cssref/css_pr_scale.php)

I also have these issues on mobile but I am using a much older Chrome version.

Thank you for reporting this in such detail. My games look terrible now on mobile, but I didn't know why, and I'm happy to see someone could find the underlying issue

I agree - I had to abandon my tablet games today because the the UI wouldn't cooperate. I had no control over zoom at all. It kept zooming in so far that I would no long find my pieces to play and was scrolling around madly trying to find them. I had to quit.

I have these same issues but on Safari on iOS, which is not a chromium browser.

So glad someone found the source of this issue. I've had this problem too on android app via Chrome. A lot of games not functioning at all unless I turned my phone to landscape.

Catan—despite changing it in settings I can’t get player panels to display in second column. They’re way at the bottom of the display as is the game log. Super frustrating.

Echoing lammetje above, this is an issue on iOS Safari as well, which is not a Chrome-based browser. I continue to experience UI scaling issues and lack of click (tap) registration on buttons. I’ve noticed varying problems on the following games so far:
• Viticulture

Même problème d'affichage ...il n'y a plus plus la fonction "plein écran" en mode portrait sur la tablette avec android et chrome.. il faut d'abord se mettre en mode paysage pour retrouver la touche plein écran et revenir en mode portrait, sinon c'est ingérable... mes jeux concernés ...yam's, rami, bubbleepop, domino, yanniv...

Bonjour...Les développeurs qui ont mis le bazar dans l'affichage des jeux sur la tablette ou le téléphone peuvent-ils trouver une solution pour remettre tout en ordre s'il vous plaît ?????? Merci d'avance

this issue was related to a chrome update and was fixed in the last days.
don't hesitate to raise a new report if this happens again for all games.

This is worse again today/last night. I've had problems so far on via magica and can't stop express. Do you want me to raise a new report? This one seems to still be open.

Agreed with Cookehj, something changed and now it's worse than it was before. My games of Next Station: London and Railways of the World have never looked worse
