Tentang World Series of Board Gaming
The World Series of Board Gaming is a premier tournament held each year in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA since 2022. The best players in the world compete for thousands of dollars in cash and prizes at the event. But we want to open up the opportunity to give more people the chance to attend. So we are hosting online tournaments here on BGA to give away free tickets to the best players on the platform!
How will this work? There will be 3 stages of events for each of the Ring games on BGA that will be played at next year's event on September 5-9, 2026. Since not all the tournament games are represented on Board Game Arena, we will use some games that are featured in our Phoenix tournaments so that there will be 16 total games in our WSBG on BGA series. Stage 1: FREEROLL TOURNAMENTS
The Freeroll tournament will be 16 async tournaments held throughout the year. The tournaments will be turn-based and Swiss style. Each async game will be played over a period of 15 days with 4 to 5 games per tournament. The top players will receive a free entry to a Premier tournament of the same game. Members will receive a WSBG promo item for winning a tournament.
Stage 2: PREMIER TOURNAMENTS
These tournaments will be for the same games as the Freeroll tournaments. Players will have to register for these tournaments at our website wsbgvegas.com . These are single elimination tournaments that are a combination of turn-based and live events that will take place over the next year starting in December. These tournaments will advance the winner of each game to the next round. The winner of each Premier tournament will receive a first round bye in the game they win or a Phoenix tournament entry and other prizes at WSBG in 2026.
Stage 3: CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT
This 1 day live event will feature 64 players competing over 3 rounds placed randomly in one of our 16 games each round. The winner will be invited to compete in 4 Ring events at our event including hotel stay at the Horseshoe in Las Vegas.
