The issue is that after selecting card, discarding card, then selecting stones, NO ACTION BUTTON APPEARED so that I could proceed with play (swapping stone positions in this case)
Both this game and prior bugged one (table 364374660] error occurred on my first play. This has never happened before for me. Have played many games since January 2023 -

From logs I can see that on 28/05/2023 at 03:25:16 (I think this is European Time, your bug report has time 4:16 for me) there was a problem connecting to BGA site but I can't say for sure that that was the problem.
